难道这种性别歧视和差异，也是普遍存在的？不仅是求职，求学也有？
2015年秋季入学的美国著名大学提前结果现已尘埃落定，和往年一样，在这群幸运地被选中的中国孩子里面，大部分都是”哈佛女孩”，”耶鲁女孩”，几乎见不到中国男孩的身影，老查从事留学咨询已经有10几年，发现这种比例失调越来越严重，每年在被美国常春藤名校(本科)录取的中国大陆学生有大约150名左右，女孩占了大约100个，接近2/3。
那么，为什么会产生何种现象呢？中国的男孩到底出了什么问题？因为在出国留学申请的过程中，中国女孩比男生有特别强的优势：
去美国读著名大学读书一般托福至少要到100分，这个分数是超过6级水平的。在高中毕业就达到这个分数谈何容易。女孩子在语言方面有天生的优势，光这个门槛就卡掉很多其他方面突出的男孩。另外，虽然SAT考试不单单是语言，但是因为是英文作为媒介考的，所以女孩子即使在数学方面比男孩子稍差，但语言的优势使得女孩在SAT考试中也会取得更高的分数。
2、毅力和耐力
从国内直接去美国读常春藤大学真的太难了，整个过程简直要掉两层皮。老查每年都要和一些这样的学生和家长渡过最困难的时刻，虽然我不是这些孩子的家长，但我看着孩子都心疼，非常不容易。学生要在两年的时间里，要参加托福\SAT
\SAT2\AP等考试、要参加各种社会活动和竞赛、做义工、填写各种表格、写小作文等等，有人说参加高考是一种磨练，其实申请美国常春藤更是一场竞赛。在这个过程中，男孩子比较贪玩，毅力和耐力都不够，但因为女孩子比较早熟，所以坚持得住。
相对女性，男性的特长在于运动、冒险精神和创新。大家看国外的电影和记录片，有很多探险和野外生存的内容，这对于中国人来说，是无法想象的。牛校网里有不少背景提升项目，国外适合男孩的项目很多都有一定的风险性，例如潜水、野外营等等，因为中国家庭现在只有一个孩子，几乎没有中国家长愿意让孩子去冒险。而中国的学校的课外压力很大，也没有环境鼓励孩子创新，造成男孩子在运动、冒险和创新方面无法得到体现。而女孩在文艺等校内的活动中容易表现突出。
4、国外大学的歧视
我有时会戏言：”美国名校录取本质上是一种投资行为，投资在中国男孩身上注定是亏本的，因为中国男孩永远都无法成为美国的总统，但中国女孩也许可以成为总统夫人“。虽然我这种说法有点夸张，但也有部分道理。美国著名大学都会仔细看文书、大部分还会面试，当看到漂亮的申请文件，还有长得可爱，搞得干干净净、英语流利的中国女孩，哪个招生官不喜欢呢？
但问题来了，如果你家里是个男孩子，你又想让儿子进入美国的常春藤，你应该怎么办呢？
1.最重要的是克服他的短板，即语言。建议在初中阶段就加强英文的培训，参加培训班、大量阅读英文原著，尤其是历史哲学类，参加不以游玩为目的的国外游学团等等，关键是让孩子喜欢英文，学会通过英文了解外面的世界。
2.充分发挥男性的优势，不走寻常路。例如让培养孩子的体育特长、计算机编程特长等等、中断一年学业让孩子去参与创业项目等等。
3.早规划。如果想让孩子在高中毕业出国，应该在高一就做好定位。然后根据定位决定参加什么考试、参与什么项目、做什么社会活动和义工。中国的家长最大的问题想不清楚到底要什么，所以又要做A,也要做B，还要C，结果什么都没有做好。太多选择，犹而不决远不如铁定心做一件事情好。好多家长问我具体怎么规划，我的回答是：这属于定制化的东西，要收费的，老查也要养家活口啊！
如今，杰出的女性和平庸的男孩形成了强烈的对比，女性越来越独立，剩女也就越来越多。唉，看看身边，到处是嫁不出去的好女孩，常春藤大学申请的现状也是中国社会的一个缩影，中国男孩，在幸福的笑嘻嘻的同时，你能再努力点吗？

很多男生都是在国内完成本科教育，然后去美国读研究生镀金。女生可以通过婚姻的手段融入美国社会，男生不行，即使同样优秀，甚至更优秀也困难很多。男生还是比较适合回到国内发展，空间更大。

I too got the same feedback from some of my chinese counterparts. I could see movies like Guru, Slumdog Millionaire, KKKG, Devdas on their laptop. They dont even understand english well, but watch indian movies with Chinese subtitles. They love indian woman looking much healthy and yes the big eyes do fascinate them.
But i guess chinese are beautiful either. I guess most countries product their beauty ones&#8230;.Russians, Germans, Africans&#8230;.everywhere&#8230;.I guess we should have variation and multitude taste to appreciate. Indians are beautiful, so are the chinese, generally not all indians or chinese are beautiful, but still most of them are beautiful&#8230;&#8230;

I think that there are very beautiful women in both Indian and Chinese society. The majority of women in both societies, though, like anywhere else are just average though. Beautiful women from northern China are tall and graceful with thick, shiny black hair and porcelain skin. Those from the south are shorter but their skin is sometimes a beautiful golden hue and their eyes are larger.
I do agree somewhat with what Padma said though &#8211; I think Indian women have more reservations about having affairs with married/foreign men whereas Chinese women seem to be more forward and see it as a conquest, rather than as a violation. I am also surprised that these men see these women as kind hearted because from my limited experience so far, most of these types of women that I have met are pretty grasping (eg wanting designer clothing/accessories etc). Even other Chinese people tend to think the same of them. Of course she will pay the man more attention if she wants something
